what actually makes us happy? with rachel

  • Nowra Library Meeting Room 10 Berry Street Nowra, New South Wales, 2541 Australia (map)

why can the same life feel rich and enjoyable one day, yet almost impossible to appreciate the next?

Nowra.org.au is proud to present our three part wellbeing workshop series. In partnership with Be Here Nowra and Foundation for Regional and Rural Renewal.

This playful workshop asks where happiness actually comes from—and why stress can leave us feeling increasingly dependent on people, plans and circumstances going our way.

Presented by Rachel Hanson

This playful 90-minute workshop asks where happiness actually comes from. Why do we feel so dependent on people, plans and circumstances going our way? And why does stress make that dependency even stronger?

Through interactive activities, conversation and personal reflection, we’ll look at the difference between needing life to make us happy and having a steadier foundation within ourselves.

We’ll also explore how deep rest can support greater contentment, adaptability and presence, helping us feel less at the mercy of changing circumstances and more available to enjoy the life we already have.

The workshop is open to anyone who works in Nowra CBD, including people from businesses, not-for-profits, community organisations and public-facing roles. Ten subsidised places will be available for eligible participants to continue into Vedic Meditation training, with priority given to people working in not-for-profits and community-serving roles.

Length: 90 minutes
Cost: Free
